Article in the journal “Photonic Integrated Circuits” on our groups work.

We explain how the rapid growth of artificial intelligence is driving demand for new technologies that enable faster data processing and lower energy consumption. One promising approach is optical neuromorphic computing. In this field, our group harnesses interactions between optical signals and acoustic waves to create reconfigurable building blocks for photonic machine learning.

In the article, we explore concepts developed in our group including coherent optical memory, recurrent neural networks, nonlinear mathematical operations, and the future directions of our research. Read the full article.
