We are delighted to announce that Mr. Nguyen Thanh Vien Minh successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis on 25.01.2023. His thesis, entitled "Data-driven computing for computational homogenization and the energy approach-based physics-informed neural networks" is the result of years of hard work and dedication. The defense took place in room A501, Appelstraße 11A, and was also available via online meeting.
Mr. Nguyen's research in the field of data-driven and machine learning for the solutions of PDEs allows us to solve the equations in solid mechanics in an efficient way in terms of discussion on computational cost and accuracy leveraging the high-fidelity solutions obtained by Fast Fourier Transform. The research is also extended to the solution for hyperelasticity based on physics-informed neural networks and the transformation between the physical domain and the parametric domain.
We extend our warmest congratulations to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Vien Minh on this outstanding achievement.
