Biography: Vincent Laude is a research director at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) and the head of the Micro Nano Sciences and Systems department of FEMTO-ST Institute, Univ.de Franche-Comté, France. His research interests include phononics, artificial crystals, metamaterials, Brillouin light scattering and the interaction of light and sound. He received the 2016 IEEE Carl Hellmuth Hertz award of the IEEE Ultrasonics, Ferroelec-trics, and Frequency Control Society (UFFC-S). He is an Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics, and Frequency Control.
