Fiber Optics Innovation Lab

The research activities in the Fiber Optics Innovation Lab are dedicated to researching optical fibres and their applications on the premises of the HITec building. Since mid-2019, the group has been operating clean room laboratories in HITec in which the entire production chain and characterisation of optical glass fibres is mapped. The research activities are anchored in the Quantum and Nanotechnology Masterplan of the Universities of Hanover and Braunschweig as well as in the Quantum Frontiers and PhoenixD clusters of excellence.
